I had to do something today that I really did not want to do.
What it was is not relevant to this blog, but I brought Tails with me. It's not at all the sort of situation where one usually brings a pet, but I'm sure glad I did!
I'm still a little sick (had a stomach flu recently), and there was absolutely no way I could get out of doing this, I felt trapped. Forced. Almost bullied.
Just by being there she made the whole thing better. Her beautiful, compassionate eyes, her reassuring paw on my knee and her curling up in my lap made all the difference.
When she stretches out to get her belly rubbed, it washes away even the darkest clouds of my mind.
I never thought her mere presence could be such a boost, but she really is magical.
Perhaps, if I rub her just the right way, she grants wishes?
