This weekend I decided to do something slightly different!
Call it a bonding experiment, if you want.
I made food that both of us could eat, and we shared a plate.
I'm not going to go into details on the recipe, as it's not that kind of blog, but I'd like to share what a great bonding experience it is.
Red pandas have pretty agile paws, and mine excels at using them for all manner of mischief. I've noticed she loves to eat her food next to me, almost emulating my eating habits, and sometimes I will feed her off my plate if I'm eating something Tails-friendly. I tend to make her food at the same time as I make mine, so I guess it's not surprising that she would eat it when it's served. Still, eating together has been a great bonding for us, even when we're not eating the same thing.
This time, however, was different. Everything on my plate was intended to be for both her and me. She sat beside me and looked at me eating, as she sometimes does, and imagine her face when I just handed her food off my plate like it was nothing.
She loved it!
I kept giving her food, roughly a third of what was on my plate, and by the end of it she was just sitting there, mouth open, waiting for the next piece of food.
It was great, and while I do realize this could lead to begging behavior, I think it's a great bonding for us.
Yep, that seems like a new thing for us to do together!
